SATCoL Sustainable Conversation Podcast

SatCol Hall: Hall 5 Stand: 5F61

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL), are delighted to announce the launch of their first ever podcast, titled The Sustainable Conversation. The candid approach to environmental justice forms part of a wider campaign for fashion industry collaboration and calls for a much-needed Sustainable Conversation. The new podcast engages fashion industry leaders and influencers in discussions around second-hand fashion and ways that we can give textiles a new lease of life. This is another way for SATCoL to support the fashion industry to be part of the change they would like to see both socially and environmentally. The podcast was hosted by former Stylist editor Naomi May and supported by a glam team headed up by award winning makeup artist and BBC Glow Up judge Lan Nguyen-Grealis. The podcast enables the trading arm of the charity, to share expert views, personal motivations and create a call to action by increasing their social engagement. The first episode features a conversation with Lucy Siegle, the UK based journalist, broadcaster and environment reporter on one of the UK’s longstanding and most watched TV shows, BBC1’s The One Show. Other guests over the six-part series include, Ally Head, Health, Sustainability and Relationships Editor at Marie Claire UK, George Barrett Sustainability Manager at John Lewis Partnership, Bel Jacobs, Ex-Style Editor at The Metro, Jess Davies, Fashion Writer at Harpers Bazaar and Majonne Frost, Head of Environment and Sustainability at SATCoL. The Sustainable Conversation podcast featuring special guests is available on Apple, Spotify, YouTube and SATCoL TV (www.satcol.org/satcol-tv).
