MAMTA FOMRA, since 1995, is the first designer label in the down south of India, Madurai, with a significant presence in the city. Her range includes ethnic Indian, Indo Western and Western wear. She embraces the diversity of sustainable Indian handlooms and also transforms Western wear into an Indian user-friendly experience.
Mamta Fomra arrived on the global fashion scene in 1995 and has now become a well-recognized women’s clothing, accessories, jewellery and home furnishings brand. Sustainable hand woven fabrics, natural colours and elegant cuts, her flowing silhouettes and intricate handcrafted embroidery, add a touch of class to her creations.
Her passion to women employment, planet/eco - friendly practices & ethical slow fashion policy is her driving power.
Brand MAMTA FOMRA has clients from all over the world and to make it more accessilbe for them, the brand has started to participate in the fairs, and began with High Point Market, USA, Fall 2023, exclusive to home furnishings.
Birmingham Spring Fair, February 2024, will be a show for sustainable, organic clothing, jewellery, home & accessories. For Birmingham show we have created skin and planet friendly hand blocked night suits, beach/bath gowns, packed in artisanal matching travel bags. Our trademark, hand woven linen clothing with hand embroidery is definitely going to be the highlight of the show. We will have bags, pouches and potli's as well.
Our brand has all the infrastructure, expertise and the experience to take the needs of the B2B clients. Orders are customised even for the micro level boutique entrepreneurs. Enquiries have already started pouring in from the existing clients in UK and we are looking for partners in London.
