Sumaq Qara produces and markets different categories of products such as home decoration, clothing accessories, jewerly, and clothing. All our products are handmade with ancestral techniques and with natural materials native to Peru. Some of the materials used are merino sheep wool, alpaca fiber, cotton, toquilla straw, 925 silver, etc.
Sumaq Qara, a Quechua word that means Beautiful Leather, is a Peruvian company that has been working for 18 years with 500 artisans from the rural areas of the Peruvian Andes (Ayacucho and Cuzco) who were victims of the era of terrorism in the 80s.
The founders Roxana, Elile and Yuli Torres Garcia are three sisters who, thanks to their parents inheritance, tanning artisans from Ayacucho, established Sumaq Qara as a global company.
Our purpose is to support our artisans so that they have economic support hand in hand with environmental responsibility.
