Women and E-commerce Limited (WE)

Women and Commerce Trust (WE) is an impactful online platform boasting over 1.4 million members, predominantly supporting 550,000 Bangladeshi women entrepreneurs engaged in local product businesses. Established in October 2017 as Women and E-Commerce Trust, its core mission revolves around fostering self-reliance among women while promoting and expanding domestic products. With a robust network of over 80 designated community representatives and a virtual office in all 64 districts of Bangladesh, WE has been instrumental in nurturing successful entrepreneurs for the past 3 years. Notably, during the economic downturn triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, WE became a beacon of hope for many families. Countless women, empowered by the platform, initiated thriving online businesses, showcasing remarkable resilience in adverse times. WE conducts technical workshops and training sessions, enabling these entrepreneurs to bolster their enterprises. Collaborations with the Department of Information and Communication Technology have resulted in comprehensive Entrepreneurship Masterclasses, benefiting 15,000 women entrepreneurs. Moreover, 7,000 entrepreneurs have received Soft Skills training, further enhancing their capabilities.
